關於aelf
aelf is a Layer 1 aimed at enterprise applications. It uses AEDPoS consensus, in which a small set of block producers take turns producing blocks, and splits work between a main chain that holds assets and governance and side chains such as tDVV that carry high-frequency business logic, with the two sides synchronising state through cross-chain communication contracts. Smart contracts run in a dedicated .NET runtime with multi-level indexing and parallel execution, so gaming and financial applications can push compute-heavy logic onto side chains without giving up main-chain settlement.
A DEX, NFT marketplace, DAO and wallet form a fairly complete application chain, and 10% of main-chain fees is burned permanently. On 18 August 2026 the mainnet stopped producing blocks for about a week after malicious contract activity; 155 suspicious transactions were later identified and block-producer keys rotated, public nodes and the staking interface came back through mid-September, and OKX and Gate subsequently delisted several ELF pairs. Block production sits with a small node set and emergency halts are decided by the same operators, which leaves censorship resistance weaker than on networks with widely distributed validators.

In June 2026 aelf upgraded its mainnet to v1.8.0, adding creation and trading of fractional NFTs and SFTs. In January and June the foundation allocated two million ELF in total to eBridge for cross-chain liquidity, and in February it shut down the ETransfer service. On the AI side, ecosystem projects eForest and Awaken DEX released agent toolkits built on MCP, CLI and SDK so developers can issue tokens, trade and manage liquidity through standard interfaces, and a ChainGPT integration added AI chat and trading assistance.
August brought a disruption: monitoring detected an anomalous contract attempting overflow and privilege escalation, all block producers were told to pause, the network took a full upgrade and hotfix, and external auditors were engaged. It was the first emergency halt in five years of mainnet operation, with a response update published on 26 August. On 12 October ELF more than tripled in a single low-liquidity session, with turnover still thin relative to market value.
aelf will make the agent toolkit and C# stack the differentiating entry point, tighten post-incident audit and governance disclosure, and use the Singapore hub and grants of up to $150,000 per studio to grow gaming and agent applications.
