On July 2, 2026, Civic's go-to-market agent Bryn became generally available on a self-serve basis, initially in the United States. Bryn watches signals from product, website and CRM systems, identifies accounts, scores them for fit, intent and timing, and runs customer-approved Plays, with review holds, a kill switch and an append-only audit log.
In 2026 Civic's focus moved from Civic Pass, sunset in July 2025, to Civic Auth embedded-wallet sign-in and Civic Nexus AI workflows. On September 14, CVC rose 52% in a day to $0.0412, which analysts largely attributed to capital rotating into older Ethereum utility tokens rather than product progress; Binance has placed the token under a monitoring tag.
Future strategy and roadmap: Civic shifted its focus from the retired Civic Pass to Civic Auth embedded wallet login and Civic Nexus AI workflows. Next it will extend MCP server and SDK client compatibility, cutting integration friction below five minutes and advancing AI-driven identity and access management. Chris Hart, Chief Executive Officer, was formerly CFO of Guidebook and Nextag with over twenty years in finance, operations and IT, leading Civic's strategy and culture. Vinny Lingham, Co-founder and Chairman, is a South African serial entrepreneur who founded Gyft (sold to First Data) and Yola and was a General Partner at Multicoin Capital, co-founding Civic in 2015. Jonathan Smith, Co-founder and CTO, led complex system delivery at major investment banks, holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, and builds the trusted digital identity system. Daniel Kelleher, Chief Technology Officer, holds a PhD in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin with over ten years across finance, e-justice and blockchain, owning core architecture and security. Titus Capilnean, VP of Marketing and Developer Relations, is deep in identity, blockchain and AI data and leads marketing and ecosystem growth. Civic's technology line is shared by the two CTO-background executives, with marketing and strategy coordinated by the CEO and chairman.
