According to a report by China News Service citing Reuters on the 27th, the latest poll from Reuters/Ipsos shows that just before the U.S. Congressional midterm elections on November 3, President Trump’s public approval rating has slightly risen to 32%, an increase of 1 percentage point from last week’s historic low.

The poll indicates that if the Congressional elections were held now, 47% of registered voters would support the Democratic Party, 36% would support the Republican Party, and about 11% are uncertain about which party to support. The gap between the two parties is 11 percentage points, narrowing by 1 percentage point from the Reuters/Ipsos poll that ended on October 19.

This five-day online poll collected feedback from 1,679 American adults, including 1,280 registered voters. The sampling error for all adult respondents is 2 percentage points, and the sampling error for registered voters is 3 percentage points. The report states that the Republican Party is striving to maintain its majority in the House of Representatives and the Senate.
