Zircuit is a ZK rollup on Ethereum that pairs an OP Stack execution environment with zero-knowledge proofs, compressing state transitions through Range and Aggregate proofs and posting validity proofs to mainnet, serving DeFi users and institutional teams wanting faster settlement. The difference sits at the sequencer: an AI model scans the mempool before ordering, diverting calls that resemble historical attack patterns into quarantine, which the team says caught about 99.5% of known threats in backtesting. EVM compatibility lets existing contracts deploy unchanged, with opcodes such as DELEGATECALL working as-is.
It moves security from the contract layer down to the sequencer, distinct from fraud-proof rollups where finality comes from a challenge window rather than a proof. Onchain value locked was about USD 3.82 million in August 2026, smaller than the leading L2s, and Bybit suspended deposits and withdrawals on 4 August, narrowing the reachable cross-chain entry points.

Strategic pivot and price: ZRC traded at $0.0009 on August 5, down 27.76% in 24 hours, for a market cap near $5.74 million, which the market tied to a shift from a Layer 2-first to an app-first strategy; Bybit suspended ZRC deposits and withdrawals for maintenance on August 4, and on July 30 the co-founder said technical barriers to institutional DeFi had disappeared, leaving privacy and KYC as the constraints.
Token supply: Only 21.95% unlocked at TGE, with roughly 78% of supply, including team 18.74%, investors 10.55% and foundation 18.70%, sitting behind a one-year cliff followed by 24 months of linear vesting; no specific unlock date was disclosed in the window, but dilution pressure remains substantial.
In February 2026 Zircuit launched Zircuit Finance, offering institutional-grade onchain yield vaults targeting 8% to 11% annualised on stablecoin strategies, alongside an AI-driven cross-chain trading engine. The release came with a strategic shift from network-first to application-first, redirecting the more than 500,000 ETH deposited during its staking and Build to Earn campaigns toward actual product use.
Security remains its most concrete claim. Sequencer Level Security embeds AI models in the sequencer to identify and quarantine attack patterns before transactions enter a block, which the team says blocks 99.5% of threats in tests against historical exploits. The chain is an EVM-compatible zk rollup on a hybrid OP Stack and zero-knowledge path, aiming at instant finality. Scale is the cost: in August 2026 ZRC traded near $0.0009 for a market cap around $5.74 million, with about $3.82 million locked onchain.
Zircuit plans to trade vaults and the AI trading engine for real cash flow, convert the security story into institutional clients, and rebuild usage stickiness as token incentives fade.
