SOON is an SVM Rollup that decouples the Solana Virtual Machine from Solana's consensus, serving developers and users who want high throughput, with a mainnet deployable across multiple chains as a settlement layer. It tackles the limited execution efficiency of general-purpose Rollups by pairing SVM performance with an independent sequencer to deliver near-Solana throughput and low latency within a Rollup architecture. The SOON Stack has shipped svmBNB on BNB Chain, exporting a Solana-style execution environment as reusable modular components.
In July 2026 SOON paused its sequencer after unauthorized access to its off-chain operations, with mainnet RPC restored days later and no user funds lost. As a Rollup, SOON still shows a gap between active-address growth and token pricing, and its ecosystem density and real TVL have not caught up with the narrative heat, fitting lightweight apps sensitive to execution speed.

July brought repeated incidents: on July 5 the token suffered an organized market manipulation that dragged the price from $0.22 to $0.13; on July 12 an unauthorized intrusion into off-chain operations forced the sequencer to pause, with mainnet RPC restored on July 27 and no user funds lost.
On July 17, the community passed a burn-and-buyback proposal with 100% support: 30 million tokens (3% of total supply) to be destroyed, with 7.7 million from unclaimed airdrops and 22.3 million via buybacks.
In late September the project pivoted to AI agents: a strategic investment in Phala's TEE GPU clusters and an x402 agent release, plus the announcement of 100xSOON, a perpetuals platform offering up to 10,000x leverage, SOON-only settlement, and 80% of platform revenue for SOON buyback and burn. SOON rose from about $0.20 to about $0.45 within a week; unlocks of about 20.24 million tokens occurred on September 23 and are due October 23.
On June 17, 2026 the SOON Foundation proposed unstaking 30 million tokens from its 52.5 million staked position to fund five AI capital markets projects: 10 million to AI Super Quant and 5 million each to PolyFollow, SignrAs, Big Squirrel and DuckLuck, cutting staked supply to about 22.5 million, with grants released in stages against development milestones. SIP-1 already burned 30 million tokens; initial supply is 1 billion with 3% annual inflation.
Future strategy and roadmap: extend the SVM execution layer from an Ethereum layer-two to more settlement layers and connect them through InterSOON messaging; the allocation shift toward AI agents and quantitative strategies still has to produce genuine trading demand rather than a one-off narrative.
Future strategy and roadmap: SOON bets on portable execution rather than scaling one chain: SOON Stack lets third parties launch dedicated SVM chains on settlement layers such as BNB Chain and Ethereum, InterSOON links Solana, TON and each SOON chain through Hyperlane, and revenue shifts from single-chain fees to deployment and messaging fees. Against Eclipse, which settles only to Ethereum and buys trust with ZK proofs, SOON trades optimistic proofs for speed to market and multi-chain coverage for ecosystem depth, at the cost of re-earning developers on every new chain. Its funding of Phala's TEE GPU cluster and the AI capital-market grants point at one goal: keeping quant and agent execution private on its own chains.
