關於Internet Computer / Dfinity
Internet Computer is a layer 1 developed by DFINITY that aims to put computation and data storage directly onchain. The network is built from node machines in data centres worldwide, grouped into subnets that run threshold signature schemes and consensus protocols; chain-key cryptography lets subnets share public keys with each other and with Bitcoin and Ethereum, signing outbound transactions without a bridge.
Smart contracts, called canisters, run as Wasm with persistent memory and state, can serve HTTP requests and front-end pages directly, and are billed in cycles so end users need no tokens to use an app. Governance sits with the NNS, where staking ICP decides node additions, subnet splits and protocol upgrades, while projects can issue their own governance tokens through the SNS. Clients include social and gaming apps needing a fully onchain backend and teams integrating enterprise systems.

Revenue and burns: monthly on-chain revenue passed $360,000 on October 4, a record, with rolling seven-day revenue at $96,924; on October 11 DFINITY's Cloud Engines program began directing 20% of enterprise cloud revenue into ICP buybacks and burns, leaving 80% with node providers.
Progress and inflation: the .icp domain cleared ICANN's initial review on October 9, and Mission 70 targets cutting network inflation from 9.72% to 2.92% by the end of 2026, partly via a proposed 40% cut to first-generation node rewards. Market cap is about $1.88 billion on roughly 557.4 million circulating tokens, with no fixed cap.
In 2026 the Internet Computer advanced on three fronts: tokenomics, cross-chain connectivity and AI. Mission 70, launched early in the year, aims to cut annual inflation from near 10 per cent to under 3 per cent through longer dissolve delays, optimised node rewards and larger cycle burns. The network also shipped ICP CLI v0.1.0, enabled canister migration across subnets while preserving IDs and state, and released Internet Identity 2.0 with simpler verification and recovery and no identity numbers. In March it secured its first sovereign cloud partnership with Pakistan's Digital Authority for a national AI subnet.
On 12 October the Internet Computer's NNS approved the ckSOL minter, and Solana integration went live on 14 October, letting canisters read and write Solana data with ckSOL backed one to one by SOL held in a custodian canister. On 15 October an official ChatGPT plugin entered the directory, and the protocol added native timers so canisters can schedule their own tasks.
Internet Computer / Dfinity's Future strategy and roadmap: After Mission 70 cut annual inflation below 3 percent, ICP keeps using Chain Fusion to deepen native support for BTC, ETH and SOL and plans to add Dogecoin, TON and more chains. The chain-key token family and sovereign AI subnets expand in parallel, and combined with native canister timers and the ChatGPT plugin, verifiable AI agents become a differentiating scenario, while Oisy wallet and Orbit multi-custody improve the multichain experience.
