關於Flow
Flow is a Layer 1 for consumer applications in gaming, NFTs, social and payments, using the Cadence language to give assets resource semantics that cannot be duplicated and compose at the contract level. It targets the experience and cost barriers of consumer on-chain apps, where users resist key management and developers cannot absorb congestion-era fee swings. Consensus, execution, verification and collection run as separate node roles in a pipelined design, accounts support weighted keys and social recovery, and an EVM environment reuses Solidity contracts.
Flow serves brand and studio issuance, where clients value a stable fee model and predictable experience over general DeFi composability. Fees are priced by computation and storage, validator rewards draw on fees first so issuance falls, and cross-chain access runs through a bridge aggregating multiple routes. In August 2026 More Markets on Flow EVM was exploited for about USD 9.3 million in WFLOW.

Deflation and fees: a July 27 mainnet upgrade recalibrated fees 2 to 4 times higher based on 3.39 million real transactions, paying validator rewards from collected fees before any new issuance and cutting monthly new FLOW by about 171,000; the foundation had already burned 50.34 million FLOW in February, roughly 3% of supply, and committed to buy at least 50 million more.
Setback and upgrades: More Markets on Flow EVM was exploited on August 31 for 15.5 million WFLOW worth about $9.3 million, and FLOW fell 8.7% to $0.0262 that day; an August 18 upgrade tripled contract size limits and an August 11 bridge upgrade aggregated more than 20 routes across 60+ chains.
In 2026 Flow dealt with a crisis first and then reset its economics. On 23 February the Flow Foundation permanently destroyed 50,343,896.87 FLOW, about 3 per cent of supply, and committed to buying at least 50 million more FLOW on the open market for its treasury.
On fees, FLIP-370, published on 27 July, recalibrated execution weights against 3.39 million real mainnet transactions, raising fees two to four times for most transactions, about 0.01 FLOW more per transaction on average; because staking rewards are paid from fees first, roughly 171,000 fewer FLOW are minted each month at current volume. The native stablecoin migrated from USDF to PYUSD0 on 20 January, and the app focus turned to consumer DeFi with home equity credit lines, autonomous prediction markets and scheduled transactions.
Future strategy and roadmap: After burning 50 million FLOW and raising fees, Flow targets net deflation at a sustained 250 TPS. The Forte upgrade brings on-chain scheduled transactions, WebAuthn passkeys and 128-bit fixed-point DeFi types, and the network launches its enshrined lending protocol Flow Credit Markets this year while advancing 2026 AI infrastructure such as parallel execution and a Claude Code plugin, plus Asia-Pacific and Korea expansion.
