關於Bitpanda
Bitpanda is a licensed Austrian crypto and multi-asset platform that evolved from an exchange into a unified investment gateway spanning stocks, ETFs and crypto, and via Bitpanda Technology Solutions supplies trading, custody and wallet infrastructure to institutions such as Deutsche Bank and N26. It holds MiCA licences in Germany, Malta and Austria and builds Vision Chain on Optimism, extending its compliance framework to its own Layer 2. Its B2B solution exports trading, custody and wallet modules to banks and fintechs so partners can offer crypto and stock services under their own brand, with Bitpanda carrying the underlying compliance.
In August 2026, Austria's FMA fined Bitpanda in the EU's first published MiCA enforcement case. The trade-off is that a full licensing and compliance framework brings institutional trust but also higher operating cost and ongoing disclosure duties, expansion pace is tied to how MiCA is implemented across jurisdictions, and the capital and reporting demands of multiple licences squeeze margins.
VSN spent the period focused on tokenomics and compliance upgrades. A May 2026 governance vote halved the annual emission rate from about 5% to 2.5%. On August 24, a MiCAR-compliant white paper v1.1 confirmed that VSN can pay gas on Bitpanda's Vision Chain (an OP Stack-based Layer 2), and that 10% of the chain's net sequencer revenue will automatically buy back VSN into the foundation treasury via smart contracts, with quarterly token burns.
On August 26, the VISION web3 Foundation announced its first-ever buyback: up to €2 million of time-weighted VSN purchases between September 1 and December 31, 2026. VSN was listed on LBank on August 28. The Vision Chain mainnet is slated to launch within 2026.
On January 29, 2026, Bitpanda launched stock and ETF trading covering about 8,000 stocks and 2,500 ETFs; in February it joined the Global Dollar Network to distribute MiCA-compliant USDG in Europe and formed a cooperation with Deutsche Börse Group. On March 25 it launched Vision Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 on the Optimism OP Stack with euro-stablecoin fees, aimed at institutions issuing and settling tokenized stocks, bonds and funds under MiCA, MiFID II and DORA, alongside a non-custodial wallet, the Vision Protocol liquidity aggregator, a launchpad and the VSN token.
On October 12, Bitpanda Enterprise signed Bulgaria's Fibank as the sole crypto-asset service provider inside its My Fibank app, with a consumer launch planned for early 2027. Its listing has stalled: the Frankfurt IPO targeted for the first half of 2026 at a €4-5 billion valuation remained paused in mid-October with no new timetable, while the company appointed co-founder Christian Trummer as co-CEO and incumbent Lukas Enzersdorfer-Konrad will leave in the first quarter of 2027 for Erste Group. Future strategy and roadmap: grow through B2B2C bank distribution and a compliance-focused Layer 2 rather than depending on the IPO; Vision Chain tokenized asset volumes and the Fibank integration are the near-term markers.
Bitpanda has swapped a retail-broker story for a bank-infrastructure one: Vision Chain, built on the OP Stack, lets N26, Deutsche Börse and Raiffeisen issue and settle tokenised securities inside MiCA, MiFID II and DORA, with fees denominated in euro stablecoins and part of network fees routed to VSN buybacks. That shared settlement layer is aimed squarely at the silos of JPMorgan's Onyx and SocGen's Forge. The price is profitability: adjusted revenue rose 16% to EUR 371 million in 2025 while adjusted EBITDA fell 75% to EUR 13 million as product, international expansion and regulatory plumbing absorbed the gain; the Frankfurt listing is paused at a EUR 4 to 5 billion valuation, and in August Austria's FMA fined the firm EUR 70,000 over MiCA disclosure failures.
