關於Algorand
Algorand is an institutional-grade public chain using pure proof of stake, serving payments, RWAs and developers needing instant finality. It addresses the low throughput and slow confirmation of early chains through pure PoS and instant finality for high throughput and low latency, and AlgoKit lets developers write contracts in Python and TypeScript. Its post-quantum security plan and xChain EVM compatibility layer let mainstream EVM wallet users use its apps without creating a new wallet.
The token has no burn or protocol revenue sharing, and the remaining supply releases linearly on a set cadence with about 5% annual staking inflation, fitting payments, RWAs and institutions that value post-quantum properties.

On April 28, 2026, the xChain EVM compatibility layer went live, letting users of EVM wallets such as MetaMask, Rabby and Coinbase Wallet use Algorand applications directly without creating a new wallet, opening the door to over 30 million monthly active EVM wallets.
On June 18, 2026, the Foundation announced a post-quantum security roadmap: starting in Q3 2026 it will support native post-quantum accounts, multi-signatures and treasury migration, targeting broad quantum resilience by the end of 2027; the same day Algorand was added to Japan's JVCEA Green List. Earlier, on April 21, 2026, Coinbase research ranked Algorand as the most quantum-resistant major L1.
On August 6, 2026, Algorand partnered with market maker Flow Traders to provide 24/7 institutional liquidity for ALGO; in Q2 the network recorded 23.2 million RWA transactions, 1.2 million monthly active addresses and $1.61 billion in USDC transacted volume.
The token has no burn mechanism or protocol revenue sharing; the remaining roughly 1 billion ALGO are released linearly on schedule through 2030, with annual staking inflation of about 5% and no major unlock cliff.
On January 14, 2026 the Algorand Foundation announced its return to the United States with a new board, formed an Ecosystem Advisory Council on January 20 and saw Kraken list USDC on Algorand on January 22. On June 18 it published a post-quantum roadmap targeting broad quantum resilience by the end of 2027, with native post-quantum accounts, multisignature wallets and staking from those accounts arriving in the third quarter of 2026 alongside the protocol release.
On September 9 former Chainlink executive William Herkelrath became chief executive, steering the push into institutional finance and quantum security. The foundation has run state proofs signed with Falcon on mainnet since 2022, with post-quantum multisignatures and a treasury migration next; reports from Google Quantum AI and Coinbase's quantum advisory council both cite Algorand as a reference implementation.
After clearing its 90% support threshold on 15 August, v5.0.0 distils Algorand's differentiation into two things: native post-quantum accounts and resource-based pricing. The latter carries more strategic weight — fees are no longer flat but priced on the computation and storage a transaction actually consumes, with the surplus flowing into a pool that rewards node operators, tying usage directly to the cost of maintaining the network; that is the revenue-sustainability fix following the 2025 staking reward overhaul. William Herkelrath, who arrived from Chainlink in September, is tasked with selling that security story to institutions, with RWA tokenisation, agentic payments and identity as the entry points, while a 500,000 ALGO x402 incentive shows Algorand also betting on machine-to-machine micropayments.
