In 2026, blockchain-based credential service TransCrypts kept advancing its decentralized identity (DID) business, claiming around 4 million individual users and 450 enterprise clients. After obtaining HIPAA certification, TransCrypts extended from employment and education credentials into medical records. The company earlier closed a $15 million seed round led by Pantera Capital to strengthen real-time credential-verification tooling.
Future strategy and roadmap: TransCrypts plans to extend its decentralized-identity solution into more regulated industries, build a user-controlled "consumer credit bureau" style data layer, and, amid rising AI-driven fraud, promote blockchain identity as a verifiable trust layer for the deepfake era.
