On March 25, 2026, Soter Insure, working with Galaxy Digital, issued what it describes as the world's first Ethereum-denominated slashing insurance policy, with premiums and claims settled in ETH. In May it received a Category 4 licence from the Dubai Financial Services Authority, allowing its DIFC entity to conduct insurance intermediation.
On July 29, Soter closed the first tranche of a Series B led by Galaxy Digital, joined by new investors Coinbase Ventures and Franklin Templeton and with follow-on from Brevan Howard Digital. The final close will bring total funding to $23.5 million plus more than 500 bitcoin and 2,000 ether. Cover includes D&O, professional indemnity, crime, specie, slashing and smart contract failure.
Soter will expand underwriting capacity and technology, grow across Abu Dhabi, Bermuda, London, New York and Dubai, and make natively denominated policies standard for institutional staking and custody.

In December 2024, Soter received a Class IIGB (Innovative General Business) insurer licence from the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) for digital-asset insurance. In May 2026, Soter obtained a Category 4 insurance intermediation licence from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA).
