2026 was eventful for Qivalis: on January 20 it appointed supervisory board members; on February 4 Spain's BBVA joined its network; on May 20 another 25 banks joined, bringing the total to 37 partner banks across 15 countries. On October 5 it appointed a Chief Risk Officer (CRO); on October 14 it received an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) authorization from the Dutch central bank (DNB).
As a euro stablecoin and institutional payment network, Qivalis saw the partner banks built up in 2025 expand rapidly in 2026, and the regulatory license further cemented its position in Europe's compliant payments market.
Leveraging the DNB EMI license and the expanding bank network, Qivalis plans to continue extending euro-stablecoin cross-border payments and institutional settlement, and onboard more European and global banks.

In October 2026, Qivalis obtained a Dutch Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licence from De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), the Dutch central bank — the prerequisite under the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) to issue a euro stablecoin (electronic money token).
