關於Orca
Orca is a Solana-native decentralised exchange that became one of the chain's main spot-liquidity venues through a clean interface and fair launch. Against the capital inefficiency and fragmented liquidity of automated market makers, it introduced Whirlpools, a concentrated-liquidity mechanism that lets providers market-make within custom price ranges for order-book-like precision. Matching relies on on-chain routing and an open SDK that spreads aggregated trades and liquidity to third-party apps, with cumulative volume in the hundreds of billions of dollars and expansion to chains such as Eclipse.
In October 2026 Orca merged with lending protocol Loopscale to form Formation; but growth still depends heavily on Solana's overall activity, and as a concentrated-liquidity AMM its differentiation is narrow.

In May 2026 Orca introduced permissioned pools that restrict tokenised assets to identity-verified investors, with eligibility rules set by the issuer and enforced on-chain; the first issuer was commodity tokenisation firm Streamex with GLDY, a gold-linked security. After the SEC's September 2026 exemption for on-chain trading of tokenised securities, Orca publicly welcomed the move and lined up real-world assets such as DAWN's USD.infra.
Orca's issuance runs through Wavebreak, where tokens sell along a bonding curve, graduate at roughly an 85 SOL market cap into a Whirlpool, and leave the creator with 87% of pool trading fees permanently; CAPTCHA checks and per-transaction caps limit bots and snipers.
Future strategy and roadmap: Permissioned pools are the main growth line. On August 21, Shinhan Asset Management signed a memorandum with the Solana Foundation, Etherfuse and Orca for a proof-of-concept issuing and distributing a Korean won-denominated tokenized fund on Solana, modeled on BlackRock's BUIDL and aimed first at overseas institutional investors, while testing KYC, AML and security audits. Korea's tokenized securities framework takes effect on February 4, 2027, after which the same structure can be distributed domestically; access is enforced on-chain through Civic Pass plus Token-2022 transfer hooks and default frozen account states.

Orca fixed-fee pools charge trading fees of 0.01%, 0.02%, 0.04%, 0.05%, 0.08%, 0.16%, 0.30%, 0.65%, 1.00% and 2.00% by tier.
Orca splits fees 87% to liquidity providers, 12% to the Protocol Treasury and 1% to the Climate Fund; the 0.30% tier equals 0.261% LP, 0.036% treasury and 0.003% climate, while the 0.01% tier equals 0.0087%, 0.0012% and 0.0001%.
Of Orca's 12% treasury share, 50% goes to the initial development team, 10% to the Orca DAO Fee Treasury and 40% is used programmatically to buy ORCA for the xORCA pool.
