關於Monero
Version 0.18.5.0 'Fluorine Fermi' was released on May 11, 2026, adding SOCKS v5 support and removing UPnP, followed by further bug-fix releases in July and on October 6.
The FCMP++ and CARROT privacy upgrades entered a third stressnet testing phase, hard-forking the testnet at block 3,102,800 on October 5, 2026; they would expand the anonymity set from 16 decoys to the chain's full history of outputs. Mainnet activation is unconfirmed, with a non-binding developer roadmap pointing to week 16 of 2027. The Monero Research Lab also published post-quantum cryptography progress in May, and the Rust-based Cuprate node remains in development.
In the first half of 2026 Monero's FCMP++ activated on mainnet with a hard fork, replacing 16-decoy ring signatures with full-chain membership proofs and expanding the anonymity set to about 150 million to 170 million outputs, making large-scale chain analysis computationally impractical; the companion Cuprate Rust node significantly shortens initial sync time, and the Seraphis and Jamtis address standards continue to advance.
On March 10 XMR traded near $345 for a market cap around $6.37 billion and hashrate near 5.9 GH/s, while Qubic's uPoW briefly exceeded 10% of network hashrate and fuelled debate over mining concentration and difficulty.
Monero's official roadmap lists Seraphis and Jamtis as the next batch to ship: Jamtis is already in progress as a post-quantum address protocol, Seraphis as the new transaction protocol replacing CLSAG comes after it, alongside Bulletproofs++ and folding Bulletproofs* to compress the size and verification overhead of multi-input transactions. Cuprate, the Rust node, secured funding in June 2026 for its database components, aiming to cut initial sync to one hour; OSPEAD, the optimal static parameter estimation for decoy distribution, and MRL research tasks are still queued.
Riccardo Spagni, known as fluffypony, was an early core maintainer. He joined Monero in 2014, stepped down as lead maintainer in 2019 and later founded the Tari protocol before withdrawing from day-to-day maintenance.
Francisco Cabañas, known as ArticMine, is a long-standing core team member who leads the economic model and governance design, and one of the few core contributors to publish his real identity.
binaryFate is a core team member responsible for node infrastructure and community governance coordination, working under a pseudonym and maintaining key servers and the multisig signing setup.
luigi1111 is a core developer focused on protocol research and client implementation, who has contributed code and audit reports for years.
Smooth takes part in governance discussions and consensus work, helping hold the long-term technical direction and reviewing scheduled protocol upgrades.
