Kuru is a decentralized exchange on Monad that combines a central limit order book with an automated market maker in one matching engine: market orders hit the book first and the AMM absorbs the remainder, so users need not choose between modes and makers can supply liquidity without inventory risk.
It targets the slippage of pure AMMs on large trades and the cold start of pure order books on new tokens. Monad's throughput and low latency make onchain quoting and cancelling cheap enough for the design to work, which is the precondition. The product also offers aggregated routing and interfaces for trading bots. The risk is dependence on maker incentives: depth can thin quickly once rewards fade, and the chain's own stability and block production feed straight into the matching experience.
