ByteNova, formerly ClustroAI, builds an edge AI framework that argues for moving model inference off the cloud and back onto user devices. Its containerised runtime schedules adaptively across GPUs, NPUs and CPUs, runs models locally so data never leaves the machine, and therefore cuts latency, bandwidth and cloud cost while suiting privacy-sensitive settings.
Two layers sit above it: a model layer with dialogue models trained for companionship, speech synthesis and recognition engines, and behavioural models that learn a user's routines and preferences; and an application layer in the desktop companion N.O.V.A, which keeps long-term conversational memory, develops a stable persona, allows custom appearance and voice, and connects to plugins and MCP tools for reading market data, monitoring social accounts or automating daily workflows. Developers can publish plugins and earn incentives by installs, and a user's identity and memory are bound to a soulbound credential.
On January 8, 2026 at 10:00 UTC it completed its TGE on BNB Smart Chain, issuing 1 billion BYTE with 5% (50 million) for the airdrop vesting linearly over two months, alongside listings on MEXC's Innovation Zone for spot and futures.
ByteNova says it has raised $15 million from investors including NVIDIA, Forum Ventures, MetaBlast and Metaverse Group, and that it previously operated as ClustroAI before renaming and migrating to BSC. Its stack combines an on-device inference framework with in-house LLMs and TTS/ASR models, extended through plugins and MCP tools.
ByteNova will ship macOS, iOS and Android versions plus a plugin SDK in the first half of 2026, then open the N.O.V.A marketplace for developer listings and revenue sharing, extend the edge AI framework to partner devices and enterprise use, and explore VR/AR/MR interaction.
